Course Goal / Objective
Network communication topics will be classified in line with the layered structure of Computer Networks. The properties of both hardware and software elements of the layers related to Digital Data Communication will be examined. Physical properties of data communication media, coding techniques for digital communication, transmission rate and solutions of error control problems will be discussed. The characteristics of the techniques for routing data over network lines will be examined.
Course Content
Supports and protocols for computer networks, wireless networks, OSI layers, Internet model, TCP-UDP/IP, wireless TCP, mobile IP, Ipv6, congestion control, quality of service services, multicast routing, real-time communication, network security, next generation networks.
