Course Goal
To teach the characteristics of potential biological risk factors, transmission and prevention methods, and the hazards associated with them. To teach the behaviour that need to be at work. To explain the legislation on biological risk factors. To answer questions related to occupational health and safety exams and to prepare students for these exams.
Course Content
Bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites that may be encountered as a risk factor in the work environment, control of microorganisms that may be encountered as a risk factor in the working environment, protection methods, risks arising from biological factors, working environments that may face biological risk factors, risks to the health sector workers, review of legislation.
