Course Goal
The aim of this course is to evaluate the interdisciplinary relationships between neuroanatomy, kinesiology and behavioral sciences in order to understand the effect of neural structures and function in the control of movement, from the simplest movements to movements controlled by higher centers, and emotional-cognitive-behavioral patterns.
Course Content
Relationships between neuroanatomy, kinesiology and sport. Main topics for understanding the neural structures and functioning involved in the control of movement: Suprasegmental organization, neural networks (circuits), adaptation of the motor system, integration of dynamic and postural reflexes in the whole body, PNF method and movement strategies.
