Course Goal

The historical process of furniture and interior design after the Industrial Revolution; to give information about emerging new furniture and space design approaches and furniture types, as well as to teach comparative evaluation.

Course Content

The understanding of space and furniture, which has changed with the effect of technological and social developments that emerged with the industrial revolution, 20th century movements (Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, De Stijl, Bauhaus etc.) are explained together with their important designers.
