Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to enable students to develop their unique visual language by analyzing design elements, design innovative products through experimental approaches, and justify their design decisions using rational evaluation methods. Throughout this process, students will be able to solve design problems with an analytical and inquisitive approach by applying the knowledge and skills they have acquired.
Course Content
This course aims to provide students with a deep understanding of hand-building techniques in ceramics and to encourage them to create original works by developing their creativity. Methods such as pinching, coil building, and slab construction will be repeatedly practiced and applied through creative projects, with a particular focus on texture and surface design. Students will be encouraged to use their imagination to create unique designs and will gain a fundamental understanding of ceramic art.
