Course Goal / Objective
To promote ecological tourism (Ecotourism) in all its aspects. Seeing the benefits of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants in ecotourism. To understand that ecotourism is a good alternative for sustainable tourism, as tourism that protects the environment, sustains the welfare of local people, knows its responsibility to natural areas, and offers an environmentally friendly alternative to mass tourism.
Course Content
Tourism and ecotourism connection. Tourism and environment. Ecotourism: concepts, definitions and issues. Ecotourism: consumers of nature and the environment. Ecotourism industry, impact of ecotourism, development and planning of ecotourism. Ecotourism management. Ecotourism marketing. Predictions and future issues for ecotourism.
