Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to provide students with basic knowledge and practical skills about body care. It is aimed to teach the necessary techniques to provide a healthy and aesthetic skin appearance by introducing the methods, cosmetic products and devices used in body care. Students will progress towards becoming competent experts in the sector by learning hygiene rules, massage techniques and professional care processes in body care practices.
Course Content
Introduction to Body Care, the importance of body care, basic principles and hygiene rules. Skin Structure and Functions, Skin types, skin analysis techniques and things to consider in body care. Products Used in Body Care, Moisturizers, peelings, masks and aromatherapy oils. Massage Techniques, Basic massage techniques and application areas used in body care. Cellulite and Regional Slimming Methods, Cellulite formation, prevention and removal methods. Body Care Applications with Devices, Ultrasonic devices, radiofrequency and vacuum systems. Epilation and Waxing Techniques, Hair structure, temporary and permanent epilation methods. Professional Body Care Applications, care techniques applied in spa and wellness centers. Body Care for Special Occasions, Body care applications for pregnancy, old age and skin diseases. Current Trends in Body Care, Natural and organic care products, innovative practices.
