Course Goal / Objective

The primary objective of this course is to equip students with practical film production and post-production experience through group collaboration and real-world application. By engaging in both pre-production and active production phases, students gain essential industry insights and develop problem-solving skills required in filmmaking. By the end of the course, students will have gained direct experience in managing the various phases of a short film production, including shooting, editing, and finalizing their work for submission.

Course Content

This course focuses on providing students with hands-on experience in film production practices through structured group exercises. Up until the midterm exam, students engage in various production training exercises designed to enhance their practical skills in filmmaking. During this phase, students also refine and finalize the film production files they prepared in the previous semester (Televizyonda ve Sinemada Yapım Yönetim I). By the midterm, students are expected to submit both their completed production files and the edited versions of their training exercises. After the midterm, students proceed to the actual filming phase, where they bring their pre-developed projects to life. Each week, production progress is closely monitored, and students are required to submit reports detailing their work. The course concludes with students submitting their completed short films, having experienced the entire production and post-production cycle within a collaborative team structure.
