Course Goal / Objective

To develop basic and general concepts related to disease-host interactions in all cultivated plants damaged by biotic and abiotic factors, physiological and anatomical changes in diseased plants, the symptoms that occur, the etiology of disease agents, their recognition, ways of spreading and dispersing, infection conditions, reproduction of agents, life cycles and control methods.

LO01 Knows the necessary equipment to identify and identify the factors related to diseases, pests and weeds that are a problem in the field of plant health.
LO02 By using the knowledge it has to solve Plant Protection problems, it understands the most appropriate economic control method by prioritizing the protection of natural resources and sustainability.
LO03 Understands the ability to transfer professional knowledge to relevant stakeholders in agriculture and to communicate with producers and implementing organizations.
LO04 Ensures the correct application of warfare methods in practice and evaluates and interprets their results; comprehends the prescription by determining the pesticides that can be applied according to the instructions in cases where chemical warfare methods must be used.
LO05 To be able to select and use modern technical tools in technological applications in the field of plant protection, to comprehend sufficient knowledge in Agricultural Engineering in general and Plant Protection in particular.
