Course Goal / Objective
Students will learn how to write a research proposal and gain project writing experience.
Course Content
Students will learn the basic rules for developing, evaluating, and writing a research question. All students will submit a small project in their area of interest at the end of this course. Students are expected to complete the following tasks: 1. Identify an interdisciplinary health problem that has relevance to the field of translational medicine 2. Discuss this problem with relevant disciplines 3. Write a research project proposal related to the identified problem 4. Prepare a report evaluating research projects written by other students 5. Consider comments written to him, correct his project, and prepare a response report refuting the criticisms Breakout meetings and conferences will support these tasks.
Course Precondition
Students taking this course are expected to read preliminary literature in a field of interest and come up with a research question.
