Course Goal / Objective
The primary objectives of the course are to teach and instill in students the importance, harmful effects, and control methods of arthropod species that are found in the living environments of humans and animals and that cause harm either directly or indirectly (by transmitting diseases such as viruses, bacteria, and similar pathogens), as well as general pests such as rodents and snakes.
Course Content
a) Identification (morphological characteristics) and general features of harmful arthropod species in humans and animals, as well as general harmful agents such as rodents and snakes, b) Types of harm caused to humans and animals, and their importance as vectors in terms of human and public health, c) Methods of controlling these harmful arthropod species (general principles and practices in pest control in homes and workplaces) are included in the course content.
