Communication Studies Master’s Program, launched in 2017, is geared towards exploring human communication practices as well as those of media through an interdisciplinary lens. The main objective of the two-year graduate program is to provide students with a strong background in the theoretical and methodological aspects in the field of communication studies and to help them acquire skills for research and help them gain strong sense ethical responsibility and critical thought. It is specifically concerned with investigating and uncovering communication problems of the age at global, national and local arenas.

Goals
The Programme aims to create an academic environment that encourages the young researchers to follow closely the studies, and ongoing changes, publish research results, participate international conferences, keen on ethical considerations.
Objectives
The objective of the Programme graduate students with the following qualifications: • Focuses on humanity and social sciences, has theoretical and methodological implement about media sphere with cultural discourses and practices, technological substructures and political-economic approaches; • Knows the important of critical thought and ethic responsibility and acts upon these; • Accordingly interdisciplinary characteristics of the field, contributes new approaches and discusses in which subfield of communication (radio, television, new media, journalism, public communication, cinema, advertising, public relations); • As using knowledge and skills, produces solution suggestions concerning problems of communication and media, develops suggestions of policy and these transforms into projects and activities. • Produces academic studies show that gained implement from the Programme.
Specific Admission Requirements
Student’s ALES scores, grade point averages and interview results are considered based on the “Regulations of Çukurova University Graduate Education and Examination” for the admission process.
Qualification Awarded
The students who have successfully accomplished this program get the Master’s degree of Communication Studies Master's Degree with Thesis i.e” İletişim Çalşmaları Tezli yüksek Lisans” derecesi. (in the original language ) He gains the title of Science Specialist i(Bilim Uzmanı) n the field of Communication Studies.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation
To have successfully completed all the courses taken. Acceptance of the thesis proposal. Writing and defending the thesis and finding the thesis defended in front of the jury successful.
Access to Further Studies
The graduates of this program are regarded eligible for applying for admission to a PhD program in related fields if they pass the evaluation process which includes a required ALES score and anadequate English language proficiency.
