General Information
Çukurova University, Adana Vocational School, Automotive Program became operational in the 2003-2004 academic year. Immediately after its establishment, an integrated education project with TEMSA was put into practice within the scope of the University-Industry cooperation project between TEMSA GLOBAL (currently TEMSA) and Çukurova University. Currently, the staff of the program are an Assoc.Prof.Dr. and a lecturer. Support can also be obtained from the sector in educational activities.The Automotive Program Laboratories have cross-section vehicles and a large number of working and state-of-the-art electronically controlled engines.There are maintenance, service and test equipment for all vehicles in the laboratories.Practical trainings on the engine and powertrain in the automotive workshop are continuing.Certificate training activities continue in the automotive program for lifelong learning purposes.Our students take the entire 4th semester of education, optionally, under the name of workplace training in workplaces in the relevant field.

Our graduates from this program receive the title of "Automotive Technician".Automotive Technician is the person who makes the construction, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles, engine and vehicle body used in road transport and agriculture, and provides communication between the automotive or mechanical engineer and the worker. He/she puts into practice the works planned by the automotive or mechanical engineer in the factories producing motor vehicles and tries to eliminate the problems that arise during the production, assembly (assembly) of the parts, control and testing of the product in terms of quality.He/she takes measures to ensure that the machinery and parts used in production and service units are ready for service.Automotive technicians have the opportunity to find jobs in the automotive industry and sub-industry belonging to all kinds of domestic and foreign organizations. They have the opportunity to work in after-sales repair and maintenance services, as well as those who have the necessary capital can establish their own businesses.

Goals
The aim is to train qualified intermediate technicians, which are needed both in production and after sales service stages, in accordance with the philosophy of quality and service that will meet the expectations.
Objectives
The aim is to educate graduates with diplomas at associate's level who have knowledge and skills to solve professional problems that technological developments need, have the ability to apply, know the material, have knowledge in production techniques, use drawings and norms related to their profession and use contemporary devices.
Specific Admission Requirements
Students can enroll in the program by obtaining a sufficient score from the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT) of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) conducted by The Measuring, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).
Qualification Awarded
Students who successfully complete this program are entitled to receive an associate degree in Automotive Technology.

Access to Further Studies
Automotive Technology "graduates of associate degree programs successfully made by SSPC Vertical Jump Test (DGS) if they are successful; -Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, the -Marine Engineering Management Engineering, -Mechanical Engineering, -Automotive Engineering, -Airframe and Powerplant, Airframe and Powerplant Maintenance undergraduate programs and -Open Education degree from the Economics Department of Business may switch to vertical.
Internship
30 working days in the sales-service departments of all automotive companies, automotive spare parts industry, heavy machinery industry, etc.
Applied Course
Practical trainings are given in 2 laboratories that we have within the framework of physical facilities.
Work Placement
In the program, 3+1 education model is applied and in the fourth semester, students who want and meet the conditions can do Workplace Training in a workplace directed by the program.
