Course Goal

To main aim of this lecture is to gain knowledge and skills to students about fish anaesthesiology, pharmacology of anaesthetics; stages of anaesthesia in fish; main anaesthetics used in fish and their effects on fish.

Course Content

Pharmacology of anesthetics; main anesthetics used in aquaculture and their kinds, properties, anesthetic and adverse effects on fish; stages of anesthesia in fish; use of adjuvants together with the anesthetics and their advantages; effects of anesthetics on water quality; control of water quality during anesthesia in fish transporting.
