Course Goal / Objective

The basic concepts of education and their relationship with teaching Physical Education. The aim of physical education and teaching physical education, methods, techniques and materials used in this area. Studying related curriculums (aims, acquisition, topics, Unites, activity etc.) Studying and assessing examples of Course, Teachers and students guide books.

Course Content

Education in the ancient period (Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Anatolia, India, China, Ancient Greek and Roman civilisations); education in Eastern, Western and Islamic societies in the Middle Ages and New Age; Renaissance, Reform, Enlightenment Movements and education; education in the Industrial Age and Modern Period; relations of Islamic culture and civilisation with Western civilisation; the emergence of national / nation states and the development of national education systems; post-modern society debates and education; basic changes and transformations in education in the world since ancient times.
