Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to teach the targets and effects of chemical and biological antimicrobial agents on microorganisms, the behavior of microorganisms against these agents and the resistance mechanisms they develop.

Course Content

Bu derste kimyasal antimikrobiyal ajanlar, mikrobiyal büyümenin kontrolü ve bir antimikrobiyal ajanın in vivo kullanıldığında organizmada izlediği yol, antimikrobiyal ajanların uygulama yerleri ve yolları, Antibiyotiklerin hedefleri Sentetik antimikrobiyal ilaçlar Doğal antimikrobiyal ilaçlar: Antibiyotikler Hücreyi inhibe eden antibiyotikler duvar biyosentezi: Penisilinler, sefalosporinler, basitrasin, karbapenem, monobaktam, vankomisin Protein sentezini inhibe eden antibiyotikler: makrolidler, aminoglikozidler, tetrasiklinler, linkozamidler DNA giraz inhibitörleri; Kinolonlar (Nalidiksik asit) Lipid biyosentezini durduranlar, Folik asit metabolizmasında etkili olan antimikrobiyal ajanlar, Sitoplazmik membran yapısını ve fonksiyonunu etkileyen antimikrobiyal ajanlar; Polimiksinler, Daptomisin Antiviral ajanlar Antifungal ajanlar ve Antiparaziter ajanlar kapsanmaktadır
