Course Goal / Objective

The objective of this course is to teach students the plaster molding technique, one of the industrial shaping methods in ceramic production. The course aims to equip students with the ability to create multi-part molds through precise measurements, understand ceramic casting processes, and develop proficiency in industrial production techniques. Additionally, students are encouraged to utilize these techniques to create innovative and original designs.

Course Content

This course covers the creation of basic geometric forms using plaster modeling techniques, the practical application of multi-part mold making, and ceramic casting techniques. In addition, surface refinement and decoration processes of cast forms will be addressed. By the end of the course, students will have learned the methods used in industrial ceramic production and will be capable of creating both artistic and functional designs.

Course Precondition

There are no prerequisites for the course.
