Course Goal / Objective
The main topics of the course include formal analysis of a film or a director's filmography or films gathered together for a specific investigation, as well as contextual analysis methods that include historical, social, cultural, philosophical, ideological and similar background(s), intertextual relations, stars as social and cultural phenomena, well-known people or the film industry with its economic and technological dimensions, and research methods on the cinema audience, taking into account the contextual dimension of the film narrative.
Course Content
The content of this course includes the study of the history of cinema in the context of economic, political, cultural, social, technological, etc. transformations; the formal and contextual analysis of films; the study of the cinema audience or audiences and/or the study of cinema experiences.
