Course Goal / Objective
It aims to look at the period in question not only in the context of historical inevitability and as a process driven by great men, but also through the window of the complex relationships between demographic changes, political revolutions and cultural development.
Course Content
This course provides a broad survey of modern European history from the Napoleonic period to the beginning of World War II. Major events and figures, such as the Great Depression and Hitler, will be covered, as well as the experiences of ordinary people during times of crisis and transition.
