Course Goal / Objective

The course aims to impart the necessary knowledge and skill sets in content management in digital media and to equip students with the competence to use the tools and platforms used in the production and distribution of digital news professionally. The course aims to analyze new trends in journalism that emerge with digital media, new business models, and content management for search engines through case studies and success stories.

Course Content

The course examines new business models emerging in journalism with digitalization. New trends in digital media and new business models are discussed through examples from around the world and Turkey. Techniques of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) are evaluated as applications by analyzing selected web pages and performing SEO and SEM practices through Google Analytics.
