Course Goal / Objective

The public personnel management course aims to teach the basic principles, processes and applications of human resources management in the public sector. This course provides students with a comprehensive perspective by addressing issues such as recruitment, training, performance evaluation, career planning and personal rights of public personnel. At the same time, it emphasizes the importance of basic principles such as ethics, merit and efficiency in public administration. It provides students with the ability to analyze and solve problems encountered in the processes of creating, implementing and monitoring public personnel policies. This course contributes to the development of an effective management approach by individuals who will work in the public sector in the future. It helps them understand the impact of creating a transparent, fair and efficient public personnel system on social welfare.

Course Content

The content of this course is the importance and development of personnel management in public administration; basic principles of public personnel management; human resource management practices in public; It constitutes the legal legislation of public personnel management in Turkey.
