Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to analyze the possibility of putting modern semantic methods into practice in the field of tafsir and to criticize the applications.
Course Content
In this course, students will learn the nature of semantic methods and will be able to analyze the possibility of applying these methods to the Quran. In addition, they will gain the competence to put into practice the feasibility of applying modern semantic methods to a divine text.

LO03 | The relationship between man and language and thought are two remarkable elements in terms of the human intellectual process. In this respect, the ability to make a qualified analysis of the language and thought dimensions of divine texts is acquired. |
LO04 | Since man is a historical being, he is limited by time and space. The change of the concepts of language, which is a human product, in historical processes is a fact. Therefore, if the passage of time will also change the concepts, it will be possible to solve the problem of how the relationship between man and the text in a period can be reconciled. |
