General Information

Art Education Department master's program is carried out under Çukurova University Social Sciences Institute. In this program, theoretical and applied studies on art and art education are carried out. This program aims to develop students' artistic and scientific knowledge, to gain the ability to evaluate contemporary art and thought, as well as to produce effective and qualified products. Students who have completed their undergraduate education can apply to this program in the fall semester every year. The master's program is completed in at least four and at most six semesters. Master's students can choose the courses in the Master's program of the Department of Painting Education. Students must take at least four courses (30 ECTS) each semester. Students who are successful in their courses prepare a master's thesis to be completed in at least two semesters.

Goals

The aim of the master program of the Art Education Department is to train teacher candidates who are experts in the field of art education and visual arts course for public and private schools under the Ministry of National Education.

Objectives

The aim of this program is to develop the knowledge of prospective teachers who graduated from the Painting Education Department undergraduate programs of Education Faculties to carry out scientific and artistic research in their fields, as well as to support the skills that will support the graduates of Fine Arts who teach in private and state-supported schools to become experts in the field of art education. is to gain.

Specific Admission Requirements

In this program, students can continue their education in graduate programs in their own field or related fields as a result of the evaluation of ALES, Undergraduate Graduation Grade and Interview exam within the framework of Ç.U Graduate School of Education Regulations

Students who graduate from the Painting Education Master's program are considered as art education specialists.

Access to Further Studies

Students who successfully complete their undergraduate education in this program, can continue their education in their own field or in related fields as a result of the evaluation of ALES, undergraduate graduation GPA, foreign language grade, written exam and interview exam together within the framework of Çukurova University Graduate Education and Training Regulations.

Applied Course

Lessons with the title "Studio" include artistic practice (painting, sculpture, graphic design, etc.). In these courses, students are expected to do project work within the scope of a specific problem or concept.
